SERVICES
  1. Project Management
Building on years of project management experience, we manage our clients' major historic restoration projects.
Restoring historic buildings is a delicate and costly process, which begins by establishing clear project goals and priorities that meet the property owner’s needs and budget while respecting the building’s historic fabric. We develop an experienced historic preservation team of architects, engineers, contractors, and craftspeople and guide the project through design and construction, ensuring that the highest quality standards are met.
  2. Preservation Planning
We develop property-specific preservation and maintenance plans to ensure effective management of historic properties.
Proper maintenance of historic buildings does not happen by accident; it takes planning. Our preservation and maintenance plans start with a thorough understanding of the building’s history and building examination. The plans provide a prioritized list of items that need to be addressed, a detailed maintenance schedule, and timeline for major repairs.
  3. Maintenance
We provide basic maintenance services such as cleaning gutters, fixing broken windows, or replacing rotten porch decking.
It is often the smallest of maintenance items that if left unchecked can cause the greatest amount of damage. A broken down spout, which may take a couple minutes to fix, can cause thousands of dollars in water damage if ignored for too long. We recognize that the little things matter. Our focus is on addressing small issues before they become big problems and large expenses.
  4. Regulatory Compliance
We guide our clients through the challenging regulatory requirements that often accompany work on historic properties.
We handle all levels of compliance from local historic commission review to the National Historic Preservation Act compliance. We build on our years of experience to ensure that all applicable regulatory requirements are identified early and compliance is met without delaying the project.
